Nick Staker entered the mortgage industry with Art Mortgage in 2002. After 2 years as a Loan Officer, he decided to pursue his Public Accounting interests. He spent the next 5 years in a Finance position and obtained his CPA license. During his tenure, he was able to travel around the world reviewing operational and financial functions throughout Zimmer Orthopedics. In early 2007, he decided to get back to his people-oriented nature and started Staker Mortgage Consulting, LLC. He has been fully devoted and operational since that time.

Nick completed his Bachelors of Science in Business degree in 2002 from Indiana University – Fort Wayne. He obtained his CPA license in December, 2005. After that was finished, he went back to Indiana University – Fort Wayne to complete his Master of Business Administration (MBA), which was finished in December, 2006.
Nick is married to Sarah Staker and has 2 children, Landin and Ava.

Nate Delagrange was born in a small town just minutes from Fort Wayne and has lived in this area since birth. He has been involved with the housing industry his entire life. He has done everything from concrete work to vinyl siding. For the past 5 years, he has been thrilled to give people the opportunity to buy the home of their dreams, take cash out of their home, or just refinance into a lower monthly payment.

Brandy Anderson has been a resident of the Fort Wayne area since 1991. She has extensive experience in the mortgage industry. She has been a loan processor since 2001. Prior to Staker Mortgage Consulting, LLC, she was a loan processor for Citizens Trust Mortgage and Trinity Mortgage.

Randy Ridenour is a native of Fort Wayne. He has over 20 years of extensive experience in real estate, mortgage and business finance.  Prior to joining Staker Mortgage Consulting, LLC, Randy was the Sales Manager with Trinity Mortgage for five years.  Randy is well versed in Mortgage finance and plays a major role in the daily operations at Staker Mortgage Consulting, LLC.

Kent Scholz is a life-long resident of Allen County and has been a Mortgage Professional in the Fort Wayne area since 1999, specializing in tailoring the right mortgage program to each individual circumstance at the lowest possible rate.  Kent loves to educate customers so that they can make informed decisions and understand every facet of a mortgage transaction.  He has dedicated himself to outstanding customer service and is available on evenings and weekends in order to meet with customers at their convenience.

Basically, wholesale lenders use mortgage brokers as their loan officers. They offer a lower rate to the broker, the broker adds on his compensation, and the rate is usually about the same as you would get using a mortgage banker. Often the rate is lower.

Mortgage brokers also learn the "hot points" of various wholesale lenders and can handpick the lender for a borrower which may be unique in some way. He will be able to submit your loan to either a portfolio lender or a mortgage banker. Another advantage is that, if a loan gets declined for some reason, they can simply repackage the loan and submit it to another wholesale lender.

One of the main advantages is that independent mortgage brokers have access to, and knowledge of, the entire mortgage market. Mortgage brokers are able to advise which lenders will consider your case and which lenders will not based on your individual circumstances.

Another advantage of using a mortgage broker is that they will take care of a lot of the paperwork and chasing up of the lender for you. This can save you precious time and reduce stress. Mortgage brokers will often have points of contact with the various lenders they put business through. This can help improve the efficiency with which your mortgage case is dealt with.
